Churches in Gonalston Parish

St Laurence, Gonalston

Southwell Road Gonalston Nottingham
07976 844261

Set within the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, St. Laurence Church is the parish church of the village of Gonalston. It forms part of the Four Church Benefice with three other churches in the neighbouring parishes of Epperstone, Oxton and Woodborough. Each parish has their own distinct identity, but come together collectively in all aspects of the Christian faith.

Gonalston is the smallest parish within the benefice and St. Laurence is a recognised 'Prayer Book' Church. All services are from the Book of Common Prayer.

We strive to guide and support people in their Christian life, helping them to understand the Bible and Jesus' teachings in a way that is relevant to them.

If you're thinking of visiting one of our churches for the first time, then we are really honoured and want you to feel valued.

If you're joining us from another church, or you're 'doing the tour' and seeing what Christian worship has to offer, then we are also excited that you'll be sharing some time with us.

Jesus was very clear that this invitation was for all, so we want to make sure you feel that you are walking into a place where you can come with anticipation, and leave feeling like you have met with God during the service.

We follow a regular service pattern, except during Summer holidays and on special times during the Christian year.

Services on Sunday mornings generally commence at 11.00am

Holy Communion always takes place each Sunday somewhere in our benefice.
